Criteria for the ADZU Alumni Association Awards

In all of the following categories, the GENERAL CRITERIA for the Open Nomination will be as follows:

Any person who has been an Alumnus/Alumna of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University for at least 10 years and has met the following criteria will qualify for the awards to be given during the annual Homecoming.

CRITERIA

Must be an Alumnus/Alumna as qualified by the AAA Constitution
Must not have previously received any kind of award from the AAA
The candidate must be nominated by an AAA member and recommended by any AAA Board Member, except the members of the Awards Committee.
Deadline for submission of Application Form is 15 days before the Awarding Ceremony.
Selected awardees will be informed at least 10 days before the Awarding Ceremony.
Basis for selection are as follows:

1. Integrity and Character	25%
2. Achievement in field of endeavor and community contributions	35%
3. Service to the Alma Mater	25%
4. Local/National/International Sphere	15%
TOTAL	100%

No award will be given if the candidate selected will not be available or fail to confirm availability for the Awarding Ceremony.

Atenean of the Year	Nominee must have attained national prestige which has brought honor and distinction to the institution and has rendered meritorious service to the school and the Alumni Association as well. He must also be outstanding in his professional field of endeavor.
Most Outstanding Alumnus of the Year	Nominee must have attained national recognition in a particular field and should have a very outstanding recent achievement.
Outstanding Golden Jubilarian of the Year	Selected by classmates of the Golden Jubilarian Class for outstanding achievement in his own field of endeavor
Outstanding Silver Jubilarian of the Year	Selected by classmates of the Silver Jubilarian Class for outstanding achievement in his own field of endeavor
Special Awards	Given to an alumnus or alumna who through special outstanding efforts or achievements during the past year brought honor and prestige to his profession, to the university and the association.
