Ateneo GS bagged First Place in PSYSC Science Olympiad National Finals 2011

The qualified Top 20 schools from the Regional participated in the PSYSC Science Olympiad National Finals, held in PHIVOLCS, Diliman, Quezon City last September 24, 2011.

Our Grade School Team represented by John Louize F. Guban, Kyle Alfonzo T. Oyong and Lee Alec C. Salasa, was one of the top ten teams that garnered the highest scores after the preliminary elimination round consisting of both theoretical and practical exams, with their competent coach, Mrs Jacquiline Dorban. The top ten teams then advanced to the final round – the oral team competition.

Finally, after the oral team competition, our team garnered the first place! As champion, the team was awarded Certificates of Recognition, Plaque for the School, Medals for each team member, ten thousand pesos (Php 10,000) for the team and 100% discount for the forthcoming CSIW (Children’s Science Interactive Workshop) in Iloilo City.
