MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY

RE: RE-STRUCTURING OF THE ATHLETICS PROGRAM GOVERNANCE

After consulting the parties concerned, I am now re-structuring the governance of our Athletics Program across the different units.  The College Athletics Director (Mr Rogelio G Buenvenida) will be directly under the Office of the Academic Vice President (Dr Rebecca V Fernandez).  The PE teachers remain under the supervision of the School of Education (Dr Evelyn G Chavez).  The High School Athletics Coordinator (Mr Erwin G Pelayo) will be supervised by the High School Principal (Ms Janet A Fernandez).  The Grade School Athletics Coordinator (Mr Arnulfo B Pierra Jr) will be under the Office of the Grade School Principal (Ms Pilar C Agraviador).

I would like the College Athletics Director and the Basic Education Athletics Coordinators to handle the coaches of our teams and coordinate with the academic unit heads for external competitions.

This new arrangement begins on 01 June 2012.
