14th Annual Ateneo Senior Summer Program

Every summer the Ateneo de Zamboanga University gathers together a select group of out standing incoming senior high school students who are preparing for college. The ASSP aims to introduce them to campus life and to have them experience college level professors, programs, facilities and activities. read more


SCHOLARSHIP SITUATION (5-year period)

Consistent with its thrust, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University strives to make available quality education to students coming from the lower income strata but manifesting superior aptitude.

During the last five years, the school worked very hard to increase the number of scholarships. The table below shows the ratio between the number of scholars and the total student population for the five-year perid. Although there is an increase in the number and ratio of scholars, it is nevertheless considered to be too low. At present only 26.72% of the students avail themselves of scholarships. Moreover, of the 864 scholars, most are grantees of the Ateneo de Zamboanga. Needless to say, the school on its own initiative strives to extend assistance to its own students. This, of course, adds finacial pressure on the school. read more
