About Us

The Ateneo Center for Culture and the Arts (ACCA), formerly Center for Performing and Visual Arts (CPVA), is a leader-partner in sustainable cultural stewardship and artistic development in Western Mindanao. It envisions to create and sustain a community of engaged and collaborative artist-advocates for social transformation sharing a common spiritual vision of a new Mindanao.

Mission

Its mission is to create and sustain a community of engaged and collaborative artist-advocates for social transformation through creative youth development in working towards sharing a common vision of a better nation.

Brief History

The ACCA office (formerly CPVA) was created through the leadership of Father President William H. Kreutz, SJ with Ms. Sandra Jamiro as the office head in 1988. This office was very small which was located at the second floor LRC building where the ADZU Press was situated. Later in 2002, the ACCA office was transferred to its present location. and was later renamed to Ateneo Center of Culture and the Arts in 2013 under Fr. President Karel S. San Juan.
