ADZU Library to hold a seminar workshop on Records Management

Over the years, schools have accumulated a vast quantity of books and other permanent institutional records that are worth keeping and preserving. Several external factors like dust, mites, humidity and other elements contribute to their deterioration. There is therefore a need to know the technical aspect of record keeping to be able to tackle this important job.

In line with this need, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Library and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), through its National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCLIS) in coordination with the Human Resource and Administration Development Office (HRADO) of ADZU are planning to hold a three-day Seminar-Workshop on Effective Records Management, at the Audio-Visual Center, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Zamboanga City on March 24-26, 2009.

The target participants are archivists, librarians, records officers, registrars, secretaries, administrative officers and other professionals involved in the management and maintenance of active records in Zamboanga City and throughout Region IX covering the Zamboanga Peninsula.
