AdZU-SMA Shares NACPAE Teaching Practices Across RIX

Along with the National Association of CPAs in Education Practice (NACPAE), AdZU School of Management and Accountancy (SMA) in partnership with University of Zamboanga (UZ), cohosted “Meet the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRBOA) and Updates on Teaching Content and Delivery Forum” for accounting teachers across the peninsula last September 14, 2019 at LM Metro Hotel.

Led by John Carlos Wee, AdZU Accountancy Department Chairperson, and Leonora Peña, SMA Faculty and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) President, experts facilitated forums on NACPAE teaching practices, and PRBOA and TRAIN Law Updates.

Francisco M Caliwan Jr, NACPAE Vice President for Professional Development, shared practices in teaching accounting courses including giving non-graded diagnostic exams, how to adapt to lagging learners, summarizing content, using humor, and more. BOA Chairman Hon Noe G Quiñanola PhD discussed new trends and regulations for the CPA Licensure Exam; and Francis J Nicamora CPA, Tax Partner at SGV, talked about updates about the TRAIN Law.

Attended by students, faculty and CPAs, the forum aims to enrich teaching content and delivery of accountancy in the peninsula.
