AdZU’s First Batch of Retreatants finishes 14 week RDL

Four AdZU employees officially finish 14 weeks of the Retreat in Daily Life (RDL). RDL is an adaptation of the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola designed for those who are busy working and does not have enough time for a more formal retreat in a retreat house setting.

The Formation Office is glad to announce the completion of the first batch of retreatants who undertook the RDL program in our university.  They are Joy Tugade (RS Department, College), Sheila Agan (College Campus Ministry Office), Gernalyn Potestas (College Campus Ministry Office) and Kevin Roy Gimera (College Campus Ministry Office).

Ignatius wanted the spiritual exercises to be given to as many people as possible who are interested to deepen their spiritual life and be guided by a retreat director.  The RDL lasts for about 14 weeks and a weekly spiritual direction is conducted.  The retreat points are given weekly and the retreatants are asked to allocate a portion of their daily schedule for prayer and journaling.

A culmination activity was held last February 19, 2022 at the Woodland Resort and Restaurant in Brgy Zambowood, Zamboanga City where a recollection, mass and certificate of completion was given to the retreatants.
