CON Holds Back to Back Community Outreach

by Mary Rose Royales, SHS-UCO Intern

In keeping with the mission of upholding in each and every student the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed for a life of dedicated service, the Ateneo College of Nursing ties up with the Order of the Amaranth Court No.30 for a back-to-back community outreach on free diabetic screening and medical advice and tree planting activity last July 19, 2019.

The medical outreach was held at the Culianan Health Center where residents availed of Level4 Free Diabetic Screening and Medical Advice. Meanwhile, the tree-planting activity together with the School-Based Immunization Program by the DOH was held at Lugakit Elementary School in Salaan.

Clinical Instructor Hazel S Inzo, lead person for the outreach, notes that the medical outreach was open to the residents of Culianan and the neighboring barangays. This guarantees that more will be able to avail of the free service.

Nursing faculty and students served as volunteers for medical outreach and tree planting.
