NSTP Facilitator Training Program: The SACSI Initiative

To start the academic year, the Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office conducts training sessions for its newly recruited NSTP facilitators to allow them to develop the skills necessary to become effective and efficient leaders. Through the program, the University further exposes the facilitators to real world social issues within and outside the Ateneo community.

All training modules and immersions were formulated to promote first-hand, an appreciation for one’s own people and community, further incorporating a deeper understanding of the various issues that it is exposed to. Ultimately, through the experience, the NSTP student facilitators are urged to take action based on their knowledge and experience to help promote sustainable solutions for the society and the world.

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is one of the programs under the Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office mandated by CHED for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In Ateneo de Zamboanga University, the NSTP program is distinct due to its communal objectives, and through it, AdZU hopes for its students to embody its core values – Magis, Cura Personalis, and Men and Women for Others.
