REMEDIAL ENGLISH PROGRAM
The Remedial English Program, also called the English Bridging Program, aims to equip the students with the necessary communication skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) and knowledge of the language in areas of grammar, syntax, mechanics, organization and word choice. By doing so, the program hopes to prepare the students for the core English courses, to enable them to meet the academic demands of their chosen courses, and most important of all, to train them to communicate, both in oral and written, in English effectively. The program primarily employs the Integrated Language Work (ILW) as a framework for instruction, allowing students to use the language structures in a more natural way through doing life-like speaking and writing tasks.

ENGLISH ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
The English Enhancement Program aims to assist faculty and staff to develop above average ability in English as a means of expressing and exchanging thoughts through reading, writing, listening, and speaking. It also hopes to develop critical thinking and appreciation of the English language by way of creative activities, learning through literature, debate and argumentation, and interactive reading.
